Autodesk has recently announced Project Salvador, a new generative AI technology, into its Fusion software!
Project Salvador (Beta) is an Autodesk Fusion plug-in that provides access to third-party Generative AI models through APIs. It can be used for product design ideation, conceptual sketch creation, and design variations in Fusion.
This first version is based on OpenAI GPT-4 Turbo, DALL-E or Stable Diffusion models, and Vectorizer to support the following workflows:
- Text-to-image: Use your keywords or enhanced prompt suggested by GPT to generate a 2D image to inspire your product design
- Image-to-image: Use a screenshot of geometry on your Fusion canvas as an input to generate a design variation.
- Image-to-canvas: Generate an AI image that can be imported as a canvas into Fusion and used for tracing or as a make-shift background.
- Text-to-Sketch: Use text to generate a 2D image that can be converted into a Fusion sketch
